Here are 3️⃣ Quick Tips to Help Get You On the Race Track‼️
Did you know⁉️ You don't need an expensive sports car to get out onto the track. Seriously, you can have fun flying around the track in your base model civic if you just follow these quick steps first!
1. Sign up 🖊️- Head over to motorsportreg.com (not a sponsor) and find an event being hosted at your local track. There are many organizers to pick between so make sure you shop around and compare price/value. Not all outfits include photography or coaches so if that's important to you make sure you know what you're signing up for.
2. Car maintenance 🔧 - once you've got a track day locked in the calendar, you're going to want to check all consumables and fluids. Brake pads should have at least 4-5mm remaining. Check tires for tread/grip and make sure all your fluids are topped off.
3. Safety gear ⛑️ - Bare minimums are a helmet, closed-toed shoes and a working seatbelt. Some outfits will let you drive in shorts, but we always recommend pants as just as a safety measure in the event of a fire. Most organizations will require a tow hook or tow strap and if you drive a convertible, ALL organizations will require a roll cage of some kind, check with your outfit for the exact specs.
